Linehaul has received several complaints on dollies regarding various parking situations.
- If a tractor is going to be parked for any extended period of time (driver is laying their 10, driver is parking tractor for the day, etc.) the driver must park their dolly in the designated dolly parking area. It is unacceptable to have a tractor parked with a dolly in the tractor parking area.
- If a driver is actively waiting for a run, they may retain a dolly but please note that they be requested to drop their dolly for another driver that has been given an assignment if there is a shortage.
- Dollies must NEVER be parked in the inbound or outbound areas. They must be parked in the designated dolly parking area.
- If there is a mechanical problem with the dolly, the driver must notify the maintenance shop.
- The Hub Switchers are not certified or qualified to move dolly equipment and/or sets of trailers. We have incidents in the past where CSP tractors and FedEx trailers have been damaged due to a switcher attempting to move dollies out of the inbound.
We understand this can be frustrating during a dolly shortage, but you must trust that Linehaul is actively working resolve shortages. These rules must be adhered to by all contractors, both domiciled and foreign. These rules are especially important with upcoming yard construction with additional lots being constructed for tractor parking. As of right now, dollies will be NOT allowed to be parked off the main yard
